Prada and the PCF (French Communist Party) are teaming up to make politics supercool again. Incredibly enough, the Oscar Niemeyer designed PCF headquarters is now home to the highest in fashion. See the CNN newstory on the topic.

ArchitectureForSale.com is offering Le Corbusier's Maison Jaoul for sale, along with buildings by COA (Central Office of Architecture), Frank Lloyd Wright, Paul Rudolph, Frank Gehry and others. Get 'em while they're hot. Then head over to Eyestorm.com to outfit your new pad with the appropriate Damien Hirst or Mariko Mori. If it's the Maisons Jaoul you buy, add an authentic, used Soyuz Space for only $2.2 million at the Space Store.

Where better to start planning your trip than with a perusal of some 110,000 photos of airplanes? Check out airliners.net, but before you get too excited, also pay a visit to airdisaster.com.

The October issue of Wallpaper* magazine is out. Apart from featuring SCI-Arc on its very small list of architecture schools, they have a photo spread on the Geisel library in San Diego. It's about time that they caught up to kazys.net.

Inexplicably, and unlike kazys.net, Wallpaper* fails to mention that Theodore Geisel, after whom the library is named, is otherwise known as Dr. Seuss.

I gave a lecture entitled "Los Angeles. Urbanism After the Metropolis" at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Faculty members at this excellent institution very kindly showed me around. The results are visible on the slide show of two Tennessee Valley Authority dams. Click here. Also check out the early SOM project at Oak Ridge.
