Missed Karen Kimmel and James Bond [of Kbond]'s wedding in November? Well, ok, I did too. Nobody ever invites me anywhere. But you can check out the photos of the glass twigs and the six tons of crushed glass at designer Landscape2go's web site

It's not architecture but it's perhaps the best movie ever made (just as I'm not into squiggly bits in resin in architecture, nonlinear and structuralist cinema just don't do it for me).

And now Franics Ford Coppola plans the release of an

As anybody who's been awake in the last year realizes, the Post-Fordist world isn't all Fast Company and go-with-the-flow boosterism. It is also punctuated by collapsing infrastructures and periodic economic crises.

Preservation and nostalgia can be dangerous, when Angel's Flight, the world's shortest railway collapsed late last month, one person was killed.
This digital still shows the cars of Angel's Flight immediately after the crash.

Looking for theory? Check out Martin Ryder's website on Postmodern Thought at the University of Colorado. Links to fun stuff like the text of Jameson's Postmodernism or the Cultural Logic of Late Capitalism, profiles of major theorists, and so forth.

Last week the New York Times featured an article on Slab City, a smaller but perhaps more eccentric version of Quartzsite. Visit Slab City Journal: For Thousands, a Town of Concrete Slabs Is a Winter Retreat

Check out the CACI corporation's free demographic information, searchable by zip code. This includes information on the dominant CACI ACORN cluster in your neighborhood. Claritas's PRIZM and Microvision look-up by zip-code is more thorough in its investigation of clusters and neighborhood segments.
